Georgetown University hired Dedicated Operational Contracting to
manage the project and DOC Turf Installation, LLC was specified by the school as the installers of the field. This is a photo of a quality assurance meeting on the field 10 months after the installation
to perform a series of test: - Gmax
- Infill Depth (40 locations)
The field's Gmax was consistent and reading perfect with the construction specifications for
the field. The infill depth was found to be inside of a 1/4" tolerance over 91,000 sq ft. 10 months after
the original installation. (Criticle to ball roll, playability and even field wear) Tests were performed by Jeffrey L. Bruce & Company and independent Landscape Architect firm from Kanasa City.
JBC president Jeff Bruce said "the field was the most consistent and even field they have tested.....The
quality of the installation was the best they have seen." While
the turf company may advertise this field on their marketing material as one of "their" quality
projects, the installation and management of the project were performed by DOC. THE QUALITY OF THE INSTALLATION IS WHAT MAKES THE FIELD
